Albert Wagstaff

Jan Hart has been in touch to tell us about research she has carried out using our website. Her great grandfather, Albert Wagstaff worked for a company called "William Newman and sons Ltd" in Aston, Birmingham.

Albert worked on the Briton Spring Door Hinge, finally perfecting it. In his youth he played football for Aston Villa school boys (a big deal back then). He unfortunately passed away in 1942, aged just 43.

He is buried at Key Hill Cemetery (L 207 burial No 57334).
