FUNERAL OF FAMOUS ASTON VILLA PLAYER

Jackie Burton, the famous Acton Villa half back was buried at Key Birmingham. Burton who was 48 years of age, was a member of the team when Villa won the English Cup for the first time in 1887. Recently Aston Villa opened a fund on his behalf, for owing to illness he had to give up work. His old club sent a wreath which are claret and blue ribbons, while Mr. J. Margoschis represented them. Deceased’s brothers Fred and Charlie, who also played for the Villa attended the funeral.
